President’s Column
by Pres. Manuel U. Along
I should say “WELCOME BACK” Dr. Michael McGlynn, Ms. Deirdre McGlynn, Dr. Joe McGuinness, Dr. Ruth McGuinness, Daniel McGuinness, Dr. John McCarty, Dr. Kevin Ho, and Ms. Melissa Parkin. We are very glad that you have decided to make a second mission this year. The dedication that you have shown in doing your mission here year after year after year is not only amazing but also awesome. Your generosity and concern for the welfare of our people have brought a lot of relief and hope to them. Your work has relieved them of their pain and sufferings. You have given them a chance for a new and normal life.
WELCOME RTN JOHN LIPMAN !
First of all, we welcome you to our city. Secondly, we welcome you to the meeting of our club. We thank you and the Rotary Club of Cleveland in Brisbane, Australia, for helping fund Interplast Australia. Your valuable support for their mission helps bring a lot of happiness to all those in our community who cannot afford a harelip and burn operation. We hope you will continue to support Interplast Australia, and indirectly, the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro.

GOVERNOR’S ADDRESS
Twenty nine (29) Rotarians and fifteen (15) Rotary Anns were present during last Friday’s (Oct. 9) Governor’s Address. We, most probably had the biggest representation among all the clubs in zone 1. Mabuhay RC CDO!
When we first tabulated the attendance commitment of zone 1 clubs, the number was only 180. Then as the event grew nearer, the number grew. Last Friday, the total meal tickets given out was close to 270. I think one major factor in the surge in attendance was due to the support of the Rotarians in Cagayan de Oro for our District Governor Bing Juarez. More power to you Gov. Bing!
